The MIABC’s Brochure Service is a free offering for members, designed to help local governments communicate risk management concepts to the public. Brochures are customized with member contact details, and cover topics such as property access, complaint handling, and claims processes.

Recent updates include a transition from printed brochures to printed postcards featuring QR codes that link to web-based content. The public can now scan the QR code to access the full brochure online. This shift aims to improve accessibility while maintaining clarity and relevance in this digital format.

These brochures are more than just educational tools—they can transform frontline conversations by:

  • Shifting the dialogue around the claims process while still providing clear, accessible information to the public. 
  • Supporting early risk identification and proactive measures, which can reduce the likelihood of litigation.
