We are pleased to announce that the MIABC’s Legal Counsel, Steven Gares, has been promoted to the position of Manager of Claims.
Steven joined the MIABC as Legal Counsel in 2019 after practicing for several years at a downtown firm. Over the past four years, Steven has dedicated his practice to handling and defending claims against MIABC members. He is also a frequent speaker on topics such as risk management and local government liability.
Steven took over as Manager of Claims effective July 1, 2023. During the interim period before Sherman’s departure, Steven and Sherman will work together to ensure a smooth transition for our members, staff, and service providers.
