Jacinta Wu, Risk Management Advisor, MIABC

Do you ever wonder how your local government can best manage its public works and parks infrastructure and what risks are associated with these services? Are you interested in knowing what steps you can take to proactively mitigate against claims from these systems or other aspects of local government services? Are you struggling to determine the steps and processes you need to have in place to avoid but also defend claims?

At this Regional Risk Management Seminar, Jacinta will lead you through the common areas of concern as they relate to services in public works and parks, discuss where risks may arise, and share some simple and practical risk management strategies that you can implement to minimize the risks, with an emphasis on policy development, managing difficult conversations, and the importance of documentation throughout your local government. You will also have an opportunity to work with your peers to problem-solve a scenario and share your ideas and experience with the group.
