Roy Scott joined the MIABC’s Board of Directors in 2016. Mr. Scott has served a member of the Board’s Finance/Audit Committee since 2016 and as Chair of the Governance Committee since 2018. He has extensive experience with local government risk pools, having served as Board Chair in developing and implementing a municipal insurance exchange for the Northwest Territories municipalities.
Mr. Scott has worked in local government for 30 years, both as a manager and an elected official. He is currently the Chief Administrative Officer for the District of 100 Mile House. He has also served as Mayor of his hometown of Cobalt, Ontario, as Trustee of the South Slave Divisional Board of Education, Northwest Territories, and as Chair of the Board of Health of Fort Smith, Northwest Territories.
